What an exciting game! Fighting, scoring, a hard-fought win, more fighting.. The Vancouver Canucks vs. the Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver tonight had all the elements of an exciting game:

• Conference rivalry – Edmonton and Vancouver compete in the same conference; Edmonton has won the last three out of four games.. can you say “grudge factor”?
• Fighting!! Reminiscent of the old days, when bench-clearing brawls were common, and everywhere you looked you saw toe-to-toe fights going on.. Penalty minutes included multiple 5-minute-majors, with more than half of the total penalties in the entire game being assessed in the last minute of play in the 3rd period..
• Uncertain outcome – it was anybody’s game until the end, shots on goal were even
• Great goaltending (Luongo showed up in spades!)
• Bang for your buck – the fans got their money’s worth
